Tayid Lighthouse is a lighthouse built in 2000 on the coast of Mahatao, Batanes, the Philippines facing the Philippine Sea. It is used to guide ships approaching or passing Batan Island.
I went here at 11:08 a.m. on February 23, 2014. This was during my first time in Batanes, the 29th province on my list.
While there are other lighthouses in Mahatao, Tayid Lighthouse is the one that receives the most visitors.
Tip: Tayid Lighthouse, in my opinion, is best seen from Rakuh-a-Payaman or Madi Bay.

How to get to Tayid Lighthouse
If on a budget, take a jeepney in Basco to Mahato downtown and take a tricycle and tell the driver to drop you off at Tayid Lighthouse. Alternatively, you may skip the jeepney and rent a tricycle in Basco to take you directly to the lighthouse. Or join the South Batan tours of tour guides in Batanes.
