Puerto Princesa International Airport (IATA: PPS, ICAO: RPVP) is an international airport classified by the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines serving the general area of Puerto Princesa City, located in the province of Palawan in the Philippines.
I flew in and out of Puerto Princesa International Airport for the first time on August 2012, during my first time in Palawan, the 20th province on my list.
Although classified as an international airport, it only offers domestic services as of this writing. Recently, Philippine President Aquino intended to make the airport one of the primary gateways of the Philippines aside from Clark International Airport and Ninoy Aquino International Airport. The airport is the main gateway to the Puerto Princesa Underground River, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
