The Carpenter Bridge is a 114.80 meter bridge that crosses Iloilo River and serves as a link between the districts of Mandurriao and Molo in Iloilo City of Iloilo Province. Carpenter Bridge is call the Bridge of Love and is one of Department of Tourism‘s Seven Bridges of Blessings.
I went here at around 8:15 p.m. on August 30, 2013 with Aileen, Chenie, and Lindsay after we had our dinner at Ramboy’s in Smallville. This was during my first time in Iloilo, the 25th province on my list.
Carpenter Bridge was named after Governor Frank Watson Carpenter, the first civilian governor of the Moro province (Department of Mindanao and Sulu). Carpenter introduced the budget system for the insular government of 1907, administering more than 40 provincial and more than 900 municipal governments in cooperation with public works, public schools, public health, and other departments of the government.
