Halloween Haunts Scream Park: The First Horror Theme Park in the Philippines

Halloween Haunts Scream Park, is a pay-one-price theme park in Pasay City, Philippines dedicated to showcasing high-level US style Halloween themed attractions.

Halloween Haunts Scream Park is a ‘thousands of square meters of horror”, via a series of three (3) terrifying mazes, deadly street performers, and chilling live shows. It is dubbed as the first horror theme park in the Philippines and Asia.

Beginning October 31st (see delay details below), the two month-long event will be open until January 5, 2014 on selected nights. It is located at the corner of Senator Gil Puyat Avenue (Buendia Avenue) and Magdalena Jalandoni in Pasay City, occupying the CCP Open Grounds near the World Trade Center.

Halloween Haunts Scream Park two hectare horror adventure features state-of-the-art Hollywood special effects and lighting with high-end makeup effects, Halloween Haunts claims to  give anyone a HELL of a scare no matter how brave.

The three terrifying scare mazes are:  Haunted Mansion, The Living Dead, and the Asylum of Terror.

Haunted Mansion

Enter if you want to uncover the secrets of the Haunted Mansion that only intrepid souls dare to explore. It is rumored that a White Lady is in the house, taking any visitor she desires.

The Living Dead

It is no secret that every Halloween the dead rises and hungry for flesh. Walk into the cemetery where zombies roam free, feeding on their Victims.

Asylum of Terror

Asylym of Terror was slated to be opened late November but due to the delay, it is now TBA.

Aside from the three mazes, Halloween Haunts Scream Park features Haunced Cemetery, The Old Town, My Bloody Valentines, Zombie Zone, The Ruins.

Live Performances

Halloween Haunts Scream Park occasionally invites performers in the park. Mocha Girls, Daryl Shy, DJ Katsey Lee, Wolfgang, and Philippines Allstars are scheduled to perform for My Bloody Valentines event from February 7th to 22nd.

Event Time and Dates

The gates open at 6 p.m. Wednesdays to Saturdays and 12 p.m. on Sundays.

November 1, 2, 3, 6, 7,8,9,10, 13,14,15,16,17,20,21,22,23,24,27,28,29, and 30.

Last day of operation of Halloween Haunts Scream Park is on March 30, 2014.

Tickets

Tickets are priced at Php 650 each but if you buy until November 3, you can get it for  Php 550 each. Visitors willing to shell out Php 1,400 can also buy a VIP Express Line Pass to avoid the long lines which includes a small gift bag. (Maybe a decapitated head?)

If you’re going with your family, Halloween Haunts Scream Park also offer Family Tickets for four (two adults and two children under 13 years old) priced at P1,400.

How to go to Halloween Haunts Scream Park

From Manila International Airport, take a jeepney going to MRT Taft Station. The MRT Taft Station is connected to LRT 1 (Yellow Line) EDSA Station, take the northbound train and get off at Gil Puyat (Buendia) Station. Ride a bus (Buendia-Ayala-Leveriza) or a jeepney bound for Roxas Boulevard or SM Mall of Asia. Get off at the World Trade Center and walk your walk to the Scream Park.

Delay

On Ocober 31, Halloween Haunts Scream Park Facebook page posted Artistic Director David Willis statement saying the Scream Park experienced serious delay and won’t be able to open until November 7. Here’s the full text of the statement:

Due to a serious delay in our shipping containers from over seas and being held in customs for a overly extended time and out of the scream parks hands I have delayed the Grand opening of the scream park till November the 7th. This will be one week behind our original opening date. Many major Items will be released tomorrow from customs but due to the delay in the customs release this has delayed our installation in our main attraction areas. I want to make the first in Asia Halloween Haunts Scream Park Manila 100% perfect so that the quality of the scream park is at the highest standard. With this delay of one week we like to extend our apology to everyone. We will be making sure that that the scream park is open next thursday 100% complete. Those that have purchased their tickets from ticket world for this weeks opening and weekend are welcome to a full refund or can attend next week from Thursday the 7th November. Those that are holding a open ticket are able to attend anytime from next thursday. There will be a Media press con this Saturday from the Scream park in the morning. I want to make this scream park a special event and attraction for all to see and experience the way i vision it to be. To all the horror fans and scream park fans, this week will be worth the wait.

Their Facebook page goes on to say that all those people who bought their tickets dated October 31st to November 3 can make a refund or reschedule your ticket.

November 6 update: Halloween Haunts Scream Park Manila opening further moved to November 30 and with all 3 mazes including the Asylum. Those holding any pre purchased ticket (tickets sold for dates prior to November 30) are able to attend the scream park on any day ( open ticket ) or are able to get a refund if they wish to do so.

Grand Opening

Grand opening of the Scream Park was scheduled on October 31 but was moved to November 7th due to serious delay and further moved to December 24th.

On December 24th, Halloween Haunts Scream Park finally opened its doors at 6 p.m. PHST.
