Tacloban City Family Park is one of the five parks located along Magsaysay Avenue in Tacloban City, Leyte where you can enjoy a beautiful view Cancabato Bay.

I went here in the morning of July 18, 2013 at around 9:40am. This was during my first trip to Leyte, my 21st province.

There are several slides, swings, and benches located in the park for children and adults to enjoy. I also saw a small igloo? For the book lovers, there are plenty of shade trees.

There were no other visitors in the park during my visit. I don’t know if it’s too early or because it’s a Thursday.
Tacloban City Lions Club Den
Tacloban City Family Park is also home to the Tacloban City Lions Club (District 301-B2), they have a clubhouse there called Lions Den.
How to go to Family Park
If you’re coming from Real or Justice Romualdez Streets, you can choose to walk your way to Family Park, just take Magsaysay Avenue. It’s the park fronting Kanhuraw Hill where Tacloban City Hall, Madonna of Japan, and the Crucified Christ and the Map of Leyte is located.
