Kalibo International Airport (Paliparang Pandaigdig ng Kalibo) (IATA: KLO, ICAO: RPVK) is one of two airports that serves the general area of the province of Aklan in the Philippines, the other being Godofredo P. Ramos Airport in the town of Malay. The airport is situated 3 km east of the main area of Kalibo and 68 km from Caticlan Jetty Port in Malay.
The first time I flew in here was at 3:27 p.m. on September 19, 2013. This was during my first time in Aklan, the 27th province on my list.
The Kalibo International Airport are serviced by Philippine Airlines operated by PAL Express and Tigerair Philippines, serves as a hub for Cebu Pacific and AirAsia Zest, while accommodating regular and chartered local and international flights. Kalibo International Airport has the busiest international flight activity in Western Visayas as it services international destinations such as Seoul-Incheon, Busan, Shanghai, Chengdu, Taipei, Beijing, and Hong Kong.
