Chinese Garden Gate in Rizal Park is an ornate Chinese-style gate, carved with swirling dragons, that leads you into this whimsical garden.

I went here at around 3 p.m. on October 2012.

Inside the garden is a lagoon which simulates a small lake, are pagodas and gazebos that are set off by red pillars and green-tiled roofs and decorated with a profusion of mythical figures.

How to go to Chinese Garden

From Manila, ride a jeepney going to Taft, Mabini, or Baclaran and tell the driver to drop you off at Rizal Park. Once at Rizal Park, walk towards Manila Bay, before reaching Roxas Boulevard you’ll see the Chinese Garden.

Alternatively, you may ride an Manila Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 1 and alight at United Nations Station and walk your way to Rizal Park.

Chinese Garden is about 100 meters away from Kilometer Zero.
