A Short Visit to Fundacion Pacita Batanes Nature Lodge

Fundacion Pacita Batanes Nature Lodge is a tourist accommodation nestled atop Tukon rolling hills in Basco, Batanes, the Philippines.

I went here at 1:21 p.m. on February 21, 2014. This was during my first time in Batanes, the 29th province on my list.

Fundacion Pacita Batanes Nature Lodge

This nature lodge was once the home to internationally-acclaimed artist, Pacita Abad, and her family. Her brother, former Department of Education Secretary Butch Abad, refurbished the place and turned it into a tourist accommodation. With Pacita’s masterpieces, including from both well-known and up-and-coming artists displayed within the compound, Fundacion Pacita Batanes Nature Lodge has become an attraction in itself.
